Branches

Budget Branch

Assistant Secretary - Phuong Pham

Budget Branch is responsible for the management of the Department's Budget strategy, Budget process, Budget Estimates and coordination, the Federal Finance Relations system and coordinating briefings for the Cabinet Committees considering financial matters.

International Strategies Branch

Assistant Secretary - Simon Cotterell

The International Strategies Branch is responsible for providing strategic input into key cross portfolio policy processes and manages issues relating to international relations.

Ministerial & Parliamentary Support Branch

Assistant Secretary - Carolyn Driessen

As the centre of expertise in the parliamentary process, the Branch provides advice, training, and support to the parliamentary offices & the portfolio, in relation to the preparation of all parliamentary material. The Branch is also responsible for the management of the portfolio’s involvement in the activities of the Health, Community and Disability Services Ministers’ Conference.

Economic and Statistical Analysis Branch

Economic and Statistical Analysis Branch (ESAB) provides relevant, reliable and timely evident-based information to support decision-makers. Most of the Branch’s work is conducted in partnership with other Divisions on selected issues and there is extensive interaction with central agencies.

Policy Strategies Branch

Assistant Secretary - Rob Cameron

The Policy Strategies Branch is responsible for leading or coordinating new policy development or review processes that are whole-of portfolio, cross-program or strategic in nature. The branch also oversees the Department's performance monitoring and reporting.
