About PPSAC
PPSAC was established under the Fourth Community Pharmacy Agreement to provide advice to the Minister for Health and Ageing on the programs and bodies to receive funding under the Professional Programs and Services component of the Fourth Agreement (pages 5 and 18 – 21 of the Fourth Agreement refer).
PPSAC considers issues relating to Professional Programs and Services and provides advice and recommendations to the Minister on the:
- funding of the projects and management responsibilities for Professional Programs and Services;

- progress with, and outcome of, Professional Programs and Services.
The Minister makes decisions on projects to be funded under Professional Programs and Services.
The Committee will operate for the period of the Fourth Agreement (ie until 30 June 2010).
PPSAC meets at regular intervals. PPSAC met for the first time in March 2006. More detailed information is available on PPSAC meeting outcomes.
More detailed information on the operating arrangements for PPSAC is contained in the PPSAC Operating Guidelines.
