National Drug Strategy

The National Drug Strategy (NDS) aims to prevent and reduce the uptake of harmful drug use and minimise the harmful effects of licit and illicit drug use in Australian society. The NDS adopts a comprehensive approach which encompasses the misuse of both licit and illicit drugs.
