The initiative assists with the provision of tailored advice to patients on modifying their lifestyle.

Musculoskeletal conditions - arthritis and osteoporosis

Arthritis is an inflammatory condition that affects one or more joints. Arthritis conditions are part of a broader group of conditions of the muscles and bones called musculoskeletal conditions. Some of the most commonly occurring musculoskeletal conditions are osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and osteoporosis. Juvenile idiopathic arthritis is less common.
Diabetes

Diabetes mellitus was endorsed as a National Health Priority Area at the Australian Health Ministers' Conference in 1996 in recognition of the high prevalence of the disease in Australia, its impact on morbidity and mortality, and its potential for health improvements through prevention and treatment programs.
