Description of clinic

A new single storey 500m2 purpose built facility, close to Monash University and 500m from Casey Hospital.

Services

Multidisciplinary care

The clinic provides multidisciplinary, integrated services through GPs, nurses and allied health professionals. Services include:
  • General practice
  • Nursing
  • Psychiatry
  • Psychology and mental health nursing services
  • Community education
  • Asthma management
  • Wound care
  • Immunisations (travel and childhood)
  • Pathology

Preventative care

The clinic currently provides a range of preventative care via general practice and practice nurse consultations. These include:
  • Cervical screening
  • Blood pressure, cholesterol, blood glucose checks
  • Risk factor identification
  • Counseling
  • Flu vaccinations
  • Group support sessions for parents of children with disabilities (supported by Windemere Child and Family Services)
As the number of patients and clinicians grows, services will be expanded. Top of page

Integrated programmes & initiatives

The clinic works closely with Windemere Child and Family Services, the provider of psychology services. The clinic also participates in a number of Dandenong Casey General Practice Asssociation programs, including Closing the Gap, Bowel Cancer Screening and Health Benefits of Work.

Operating hours

Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm

Billing arrangements

Bulk billing pensioners, DVA, healthcare concession cardholders, student card holders and children 16 years and under and St Vincent's Pathology.

Home visits and visits to residential aged care facilities

GPs provide home and nursing home visits for disabled people and patients unable to attend the clinic.

Clinical training arrangements

The Berwick GP Super Clinic is part of the training practice of Victorian Metropolitan Alliance. The clinic also works with Monash University to develop teaching roles for the clinic with medical and nurse student placements. Top of page
