Part 4.2, section 56-1(l) – The approved provider is required not to act in a way which is inconsistent with any rights and responsibilities of care recipients as is specified in the User Rights Principles 1997, specifically:

section 23.5(1) which requires an approved provider ask a care recipient to leave the residential care service only if subsection (2), (3) or (4) applies;

section 23.6(2) which requires an approved provider to give a written notice at least 14 days before the care recipients is to leave the service;

section 23.6(3) which states that an approved provider must not take action to make the care recipients leave, or imply that the care recipient must leave, before suitable alternative accommodation is available that meets the care recipient's assessed long term needs and is affordable by the care recipient; and

section 23.6(4) which requires the long-term needs of a care recipient be assessed before the approved provder asks a care recipient to leave a Service.

Part 4.3, section 63-1AA(2) - The approved provider is responsible for reporting an allegation or suspicion of a reportable assault.

Part 4.3, section 63-1AA(5) - The approved provider is responsible for taking reasonable steps to require staff members to report suspicions of reportable assaults.

Part 4.3, section 63-1(1)(a), which, in conjunction with Part 6.3, section 88-2(1), provides that approved providers must comply with the requirements in section 19.5AA of the Records Principles 1997
