Canberra
The community consultation in Canberra was held on Monday 22 October. Over 50 members of the community, health and other service sectors from the ACT and other nearby regions, including Wagga Wagga, participated in the consultation session in Canberra, A number of key themes emerged from the discussions including access to services, the significance of education and career pathways, cultural competency of the health workforce, food security, nutrition and the inclusion of the family in the continuum of care. The participants also emphasised the importance of ongoing consultation, particularly with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth.
