These Guidelines provide an overview of the arrangements for the delivery of Primary Mental Health Care Services Activities.

The aim of the Primary Mental Health Care Services Activities is to assist in improving the mental health of people living in communities that would otherwise have little or no access to mental health services, such as Medicare subsidised mental health services.
These Programme Guidelines cover both the Access to Allied Psychological Services (ATAPS) and the Mental Health Services in Rural and Remote Areas (MHSRRA) programmes:
