Health and wellbeing check for three year olds - expert group

As part of the Health and wellbeing checks for three year olds measure, announced in the 2011-12 federal budget, a time-limited expert group has been established.

The expert group has been established to provide advice on:

  • the design and use of the health check
  • mapping child mental health services nationally for inclusion in the National Health Call Centre Network and
  • a training resource for health professionals.

The measure expands the existing Medicare Healthy Kids Check to include consideration of emotional wellbeing and development, and to bring forward the check from four year olds to three year olds.

The membership of the expert group comprises:
