National Key Performance Indicators for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander primary health care: results from December 2014

Abstract

This publication reports on the performance of Australian Government funded Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander primary health care services. The report covers the period June 2012 to December 2014, with 90 organisations reporting in June 2012 increasing to 233 organisations by December 2014.

This report is used to support national and state/territory policy and planning to improve future service delivery.

There are 21 national key performance indicators (nKPIs) reported against, focusing on:

  • maternal and child health
  • preventative health
  • chronic disease management.
