Veterans

Information on Hearing Services for Veterans

If you are a Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) client and:

    • the holder of a Gold Repatriation Health Card issued for all conditions;
    • the holder of a White Repatriation Health Card issued for conditions that include hearing loss;
    • or a dependent of a person in one of the above categories;
    • or a current serving member of the Australian Defence Force;
you are eligible to receive hearing services under the Australian Government Hearing Services Program (the Program). As with all other clients you will need to apply for a hearing services voucher.

Hearing services provided under the Program include a comprehensive hearing assessment, access to a wide range of Free to Client hearing devices, rehabilitation advice, monitoring and support. In addition DVA will cover the cost of your maintenance agreement if you choose a Free to Client hearing device.
