F) Product Pricing
Product prices specified in the Stoma Appliance Scheme (SAS) Schedule are set by the Department following advice from SPAP and negotiation with suppliers. The Scheme’s pricing methodology is set out in the SAS Pricing Guidelines

Benchmark Products and Prices
The Department has defined a notional benchmark product and associated benchmark price for each subgroup in Groups 1 to 7 of the SAS Schedule. A benchmark table specifying key features, related features, variants of those related features and price for each benchmark product in Groups 1 to 7 can be found below:

Price Premium Products and Prices
Products listed in a subgroup, which have been assessed by SPAP as providing improved health outcomes in a cost effective manner over and above that provided by the benchmark product of that subgroup, may be eligible to be listed as price premium products and accordingly, listed at a price greater than the subgroup’s benchmark price.

Help with accessing large documents

To view PDF (Portable Document Format) documents, you will need to have a PDF reader installed on your computer. A number of PDF readers are available through the Australian Government Information Management Office (AGIMO) Web Guide website.
