Budget Initiative and Explanations of Appropriations 1998-99
Portfolio Budget Statements (PBS) are a major public source of information on Government programs and budgets. The purpose of the PBS is to inform Senators and Members of the basis for proposed Budget outlays for the portfolio with particular emphasis on the proposed provisions in Appropriations Bills (1 and 2) 1998-99.
