Legislation Administered by the Portfolio

The 1996-97 Portfolio Budget Statements, informs Senators and Members of Parliament of the proposed allocation of resources to portfolios outcomes and their objectives and targets including the agencies within the Health and Family Services portfolio.

The following legislation is administered by the Minister for Health and Family Services and the Minister for Family Services.

Programme 1: Public Health

Australian Institute of Health and Welfare Act 1987: establishes the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare.
