National Tobacco Strategy 1999 to 2002-03: a framework for action

The strategy sought to improve the health of all Australians by eliminating or reducing their exposure to tobacco in all its forms. It aimed to prevent the uptake of tobacco use, reduce numbers of those who use tobacco products and reduce exposure to harmful health consequences either from smoking or from exposure to tobacco smoke.
