Annual Report of the Advisory Panel on the Marketing in Australia of Infant Formula
The Panel monitors compliance with the Marketing in Australia of Infant Formula: Manufacturers and Importers Agreement 1992 (MAIF Agreement). The aim of the MAIF Agreement is to help ensure safe and adequate nutrition for infants, by the protection and promotion of breastfeeding.

The Secretariat for the Advisory Panel on the Marketing in Australia of Infant Formula (APMAIF) produces the APMAIF Annual Report each year. The Annual Report is tabled in both houses of Parliament before it is made available to the public and interested groups.The Annual Report contains information on the activities of the APMAIF and reports on complaints made under the Marketing in Australia of Infant Formulas: Manufacturers and Importers Agreement 1992 (MAIF Agreement). It also contains the:
- MAIF Agreement;
- Interpretations of the APMAIF on the MAIF Agreement;
- Guidelines for lodging complaints of alleged breaches of the MAIF Agreement;
- Guidelines for in-store promotions of infant formula by manufacturers in Australia through retailers; and
- APMAIF's financial report.
