Updated Prostheses List Guide

An update to theProstheses List guide to listing and setting benefits for prostheses (the Guide) is now available. The Guide is in two parts:
  • Part 1 – Understanding the Prostheses Arrangements; and
  • Part 2 – Making an application for inclusion in the Prostheses List.
All sponsors are encouraged to use the Guide. Note that the Guide does not address the requirements for human tissue items.

Sponsors should note the following changes that have been included in the Guide:
  • Reference to the PDC has been removed and replaced by information on the new committee, the Prostheses List Advisory Committee (PLAC). The committee terms of reference and business rules have also been added.
* Note this is one of many changes expected to be made due to the Review of Health Technology Assessment in Australia.

The updated Guide is available at Prostheses List, Guides and Application Forms webpage.
