The Requirements for Gynaecological (Cervical) Cytology (Third Edition 2017) sets out the minimum requirements for best practice in relation to the operation of gynaecological services for using conventional methods as well as liquid based collection systems and semi-automated screening devices.

The requirements for report turnaround times have been revised for the interim period until the National Cervical Screening Program comes into effect.

This document will come into effect the day after registration of the instrument on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments
