The review found that the Government's package of medical indemnity measures has assisted in making medical indemnity insurance more affordable for doctors in recent years. It has also been a key factor in stabilising Australia's medical indemnity marketplace. The continuation of current medical indemnity arrangements is supported by the review findings, as is the importance of ensuring that recent reforms are not wound back.
