This section contains information on the Hearing Rehabilitation Outcomes for Voucher Holders (the Outcomes).

The review of the Clinical Standards, conducted by the Joint Accreditation System of Australia on behalf of the Office of Hearing Services was completed in 2003. The review developed a set of outcome based standards for the Australian Government Hearing Services Program, known as the Hearing Rehabilitation Outcomes for Voucher Holders.

The Outcomes replaced the Clinical Standards on 1 July 2006 and were phased in over a 12 month period to give service providers time to adjust to working with the Outcomes before their full introduction. The Outcomes were formally introduced as Schedule 1 to the Australian Government Hearing Services Program, Service Provider Contract 1 July 2007-30 June 2012.

The Outcomes can be found as Schedule 1 to the Service Provider Contract.
