Symbol and definition of Disability Access available in Permanent and Visiting Sites under the Australian Government Hearing Services Program

The most recognisable Symbol of Accessibility, which we call the International symbol of accessibility, or often known as the wheelchair symbol.

Although many people with disabilities do not use wheelchairs, the symbol represents the general concept of disability, and the use of the symbol at an entrance to a building or a restroom indicates that the facility is accessible to everyone, regardless of their ability.
