Description
The Department of Health and Ageing is seeking applications from a wide range of non-government and government organisations other than the Commonwealth for a grant to develop and conduct training through workshops¸ seminars and training sessions across Tasmania for health professionals and non-professionals on the implementation of the Guidelines for a Palliative Approach for Aged Care in the Community Setting (COMPAC Guidelines).A grant of up to $997¸700.00 (GST inclusive) will be made available from 2012-13 to 2014-15 for an organisation to undertake the project.The objective of the project is to enhance the skills and capabilities of health professionals and non-professionals in order to improve the delivery of appropriate palliative care services to people being cared for in their homes.The project will run for two years from the execution of the funding agreement (expected to be from no later than mid June 2013 to 30 June 2015).Key skills required include:- Knowledge and understanding of and/or experience in the palliative care sector and palliative care service provision¸- Experience in the development and delivery of health training¸- Previous administrative experience on a similar scale.
