Better health and ageing for all Australians

Grants Reform

Grants Reform homepage

This page provides information regarding the Department of Health and Ageing's grant reform activities

The administration of grant programs is a key business activity of the Department of Health and Ageing. This section of our website provides information about the ways in which we are working to:

  • Improve the efficiency of our grants administration practices
  • Reduce the red tape associated with these processes
As part of this commitment, we are active participants in the National Compact: working together initiative. The National Compact is an agreement between the Australian Government and the not-for-profit sector to find new and better ways of working together based on mutual trust, respect and collaboration. Mr Andrew Stuart, Deputy Secretary is the Department of Health and Ageing’s Compact Advocate.
