The independent evaluation, released in January 2012, supports the continuation of the service, noting that it is beginning to gain traction in community. It also notes that there is support by service providers and community members for the primary characteristics and principles of the service model, which aligns Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal workers and has a gender mix in the staff team.
