Overview

The Australian Government has released a paper, Options to reduce pressure on private health insurance premiums by addressing the growth of private patients in public hospitals, for public consultation.

Submissions received

Due to the interest in this issue, and the usefulness of information provided, the Minister requested that submissions be published on the department’s website to show the range of views.

The Department has received permission to publish the following submissions. Some authors requested their names be withheld but were happy for the submission to be published. The Department received 42 submissions. Further submissions will be published in shortly.
