Synopsis
The Foodborne Disease report, endorsed by the Communicable Diseases Network of Australia and New Zealand, is the second in the newly conceived Communicable Diseases Intelligence Technical Report Series.The report identifies gaps in our knowledge of foodborne disease and assesses the current trends in epidemiology, leading to recommendations to reduce foodborne disease on a national basis.
A primary objective of the report is to encourage a multi-sector approach to the prevention, surveillance and control of foodborne diseases and promote nationally consistent policies.
