Substance Misuse Prevention and Service Improvement Grants Fund

This page contains information on the Substance Misuse Prevention and Service Improvement Grants Fund.

The Fund consolidates activities from a number of existing programs, and will provide a flexible funding pool designed to assist organisations supporting prevention of substance misuse and other national activities under the National Drug Strategy.

The Fund has overarching Guidelines detailing how the Fund will operate.

Current Grant Funding Process

The recent grant funding round for the Substance Misuse Prevention and Service Improvement Grants Fund attracted a large number of potentially suitable applications.

The high level of interest meant that only a relatively small number of these applications could be shortlisted for contract negotiations.

On 1 May 2012, letters were sent to all applicants advising the outcomes of the assessment process. The following applicants have been shortlisted to proceed to contract negotiations with the Department of Health and Ageing:

Further Information

Registrations for feedback closed on Wednesday 30 May 2012. Feedback will only be provided to applicants to the Chronic Disease Prevention and Service Improvement Fund that have registered for feedback.

Feedback will be provided in writing to registered applicants by the end of July 2012.
