The Communicable Disease Prevention and Service Improvements Grants Fund provides a flexible funding pool for provision of grants aimed at preventing blood borne viruses and sexually transmissible infections and promoting appropriate treatment and management. The grants support broad based health promotion activities as well as activities targeted at the specific population groups most affected by these diseases.

Grant Funding Process

The assessment of applications under Invitation to Apply 120/1112 has been completed. A large number of high quality applications were received and the funding round was oversubscribed. A total of 73 applications were received.

On 1 May 2012, letters were sent to all applicants advising the outcomes of the assessment process.

Further Information

Those applications which were successful in being shortlisted for negotiation were rated suitable against the three selection criteria outlined in the Invitation to Apply documentation, and had either a strong national focus, or were innovative regional programs that demonstrated national transferability, as described in Addendum Number 1 to ITA 120/1112.
