2002-03 Annual Report for the Department of Health and Ageing
The primary purpose of the Annual Report is to provide Members of Parliament and Senators with a detailed description of the Department's activities during 2002-03 against the performance targets presented in the 2002-03 Portfolio Budget Statements and the 2002-03 Portfolio Additional Estimates Statements, for the Health and Ageing Portfolio.

The 2002-03 Annual Report is comprised of five parts:
Part 1 Overview
provides an explanation of the Department's activities, highlighting the broad strategic directions and priorities for the Department, noting key issues and achievements during the year. Part 2 Outcome Performance Reports
Part 2 details the performance of the nine outcomes within the Department, including major achievements and challenges. Performance is reported against set indicators outlined in the 2002-03 Portfolio Budget Statements, and the 2002-03 Portfolio Additional Estimates Statements, for the Health and Ageing Portfolio. Each outcome report includes information on performance measures for administered items, departmental output groups and a financial resources summary table.
