1998-99 Annual Report for the Department of Health and Aged Care
The primary purpose of the Annual Report is to provide Members of Parliament and Senators with a detailed description of the Department's activities during 1998-99 against the performance targets presented in the 1998-99 Portfolio Budget Statements and the 1998-99 Portfolio Additional Estimates Statements, for the Health and Aged Care Portfolio.

Part 1 - OverviewThe Overview provides a discursive explanation of the Department's activities, highlighting the broad strategic directions and priorities for the Department and noting key issues and achievements during the year.

Performance is measured against set indicators outlined in the 1998-99 Portfolio Budget Statements, as amended by the Portfolio Additional Estimates Statements, for the Health and Aged Care Portfolio.
