Australian Government programs supporting individuals in the Aged Care Workforce
Support for Aged Care Training (SACT)
The Support For Aged Care Training (SACT) Program funds aged care workers' training, associated travel and accommodation costs and backfilling of staff attending training in smaller aged care homes in rural and remote locations of Australia.
Suitably experienced and qualified Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) are now invited to apply for funding under Round Six of the SACT Program to deliver accredited aged care related training to personal care workers employed in eligible residential aged care services. Organisations must register on the Department's website to download the application form, application guidelines and other supporting material available from
www.health.gov.au (About Us – Tenders and Grants - Support for Aged Care Training - Funding Round Six). Applications close on 8 October 2008.
