The National Aged Care Workforce Strategy is an informed reliable framework for long-term structural reforms of the aged care workforce.

Implementing the Strategy will assist the industry build a sustainable and viable aged care sector. There is no doubt that this need will increase, as the population ages, and the Strategy will ensure that appropriate actions and initiatives are implemented to meet this need.
Participants from all sections of the residential aged care sector have offered their experience of the issues faced through a broad consultation process that was fundamental in the development of this Strategy. Consultation forums were conducted across Australia in capital cities and regional areas.
