Aged Care Service lists for download
Lists of Australian Government-funded aged care services in downloadable forms including Microsoft Excel and plain text files.
From this page you may download files of information on aged care services subsidised by the Australian Government under the Aged Care Act 1997, including:
- residential aged care services (aged care homes);
- services that provide Community Aged Care Packages;
- services that provide Extended Aged Care at Home; and
- Multipurpose Services providing aged care.
The files are current as at 30 June 2007 and are updated annually, usually in September/October. Please refer to the information page for an explanation of what is included and not included in these lists.
Each downloadable file contains:
- the name of each service;
- its street address;
- the types of care provided:
- Residential low-level care, residential high-level care,
- Community Aged Care Packages,
- Extended Aged Care at Home,
- Multipurpose Service; or
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flexible care.
- the number of places in operation for each type of care at 30 June 2007;
- the name of the approved provider of the service in which the service is based;
- the Aged Care Planning Region of the service;
- the remoteness classification of the service according to the Australian Standard Geographical Classification (ASGC), Australian Bureau of Statistics catalogue no 1216.0, 2001 edition; and
- Australian Government recurrent funding for the service in 2006-07.

- Choose "Save Target As.../Save Link As..." depending on your browser
- Select an appropriate folder on a local drive to place the downloaded file
Attempting to open large documents within the browser window (by left-clicking)
may inhibit your ability to continue browsing while the document is
opening and/or lead to system problems.
Help with accessing PDF documents
To
view PDF (Portable
Document Format) documents, you will need to have a PDF reader
installed on your computer. The Adobe Acrobat Reader is available free
of charge from Adobe's
website.
