Current Status of Service: On 17 October 2003, the Agency advised it considered there was no longer a serious risk to the health, safety or well-being of residents.

The sanctions expired on 3 April 2004.

Current Status of Service

The Approved Provider has taken action to remedy the area of serious risk identified by the Aged Care Standards and Accrediation Agency.

On 9 August 2004, the Approved Provider applied to have the sanctions lifted.

On 31 August 2004, the Agency made a decision to accredit the service for a further 2 year period from 5 October 2004 to 5 October 2006 following a site audit on 3-5 August 2004.

On 6 September 2004, the Department lifted sanctions.

The Aged Care Standards & Accreditation Agency reports that no serious risk has been identified at visits since 30 August 2000.

The Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency has accredited the facility for 1 year (7/12/2000 to 7/12/2001).

The sanctions restricting no further allocation of places for a period of 12 months and no Commonwealth funding for new residents for a period of 12 months expired on 30 July 2001.

Approval as an Approved Provider of aged care services revoked unless a nurse adviser is appointed remains in place.

The Approved Provider has submitted an application to transfer the places to another provider.

The application to transfer the places to another provider has been approved by the Department.

The nursing home currently has no residents.

New Approved Provider on 24 August 2001, Presbyterial Aged Care.

Sanctions have not been imposed on this provider.

Current Status of Service: The Department decided to vary the Sanctions period to expiry on 14 March 2005.

The Department and the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency are continuing to monitor the Service.

The Approved Provider has appointed a nurse adviser.

The Agency made a decision on 4 February 2005 to revoke the Service’s accreditation effective 22 April 2005 and advised that the serious risk had been resolved.

On 18 February 2005 the Approved Provider applied to the Agency for a reconsideration of the accreditation decision.

The Approved Provider advised the Department on 15 April 2005 that the Service ceased to operate from 14 March 2005.
