Introduction:
TLC Homes is using eBusiness to admit and discharge residents and connect directly to the government. More accurate and efficient than their old system, staff now have more time to care for residents.Female:
We currently use eBusiness in a couple of our homes obviously for transmitting data to the department so that’s resident entries and discharges. And it obviously replaces the manual system that we used to use before it was made available to us.Female 1:
I use eBusiness on a daily basis where I communicate all the information directly to Medicare Australia. I also have the ability to check that it’s gone across, and also check the messages of the previous day and make any changes there. It’s a much faster and more efficient use of everybody’s time.Female 2:
The beauty with eBusiness of course, is that any error is picked up before you get the opportunity to sign and send it off electronically.Female 3:
With the decreased time that I’ve spent sending off documentation, I’m able to be involved in any clinical decisions. Support the staff, meet with residents and families.Male 1:
We only see our platform and our ability to use eBusiness at this stage as providing a really strong platform for all sorts of IT developments that go right through to the individual room and the individual resident. And there’s a huge future out there waiting to have IT assist in the delivery of care.[End of recording]
