Hammond Care Group runs a number of aged care facilities throughout New South Wales. Greater efficiency, thanks to its IT infrastructure, and the implementation of eBusiness, means that staff can spend less time on paperwork, and more time caring for residents.Female:
Seven years ago, everything was paper based. You didn’t have much communication with the Department other than by email, letter, or phone call.Male:
What we needed to do, was to build an IT infrastructure which made technology a device that could assist our clients and the delivery of care to them. So the opportunity to participate in the eBusiness pilot, was a real God send.Female 1:
Seven years ago, I probably spent at least half the day on paperwork. Now, you’re only talking probably 10 minutes at the end of the day to confirm the data and send it off.Male 1:
The availability of Broadband, the number of options in regard to software solutions, is growing all the time. Technology is advancing at a huge rate and putting all these together, means that even the smallest organisation has a solution available to it.Female 2:
When new systems are introduced anywhere, anything that makes the job quicker and more efficient, I’m all for it.[End of recording]
Help with accessing large documents
When accessing large documents (over 500 KB in size), it is recommended that the following procedure be used:

- Select an appropriate folder on a local drive to place the downloaded file

may inhibit your ability to continue browsing while the document is
opening and/or lead to system problems.

To view PDF (Portable Document Format) documents, you will need to have a PDF reader installed on your computer. A number of PDF readers are available through the Australian Government Information Management Office (AGIMO) Web Guide website.
