You are eligible if you:

  • are an Australian citizen or permanent resident
  • are working in a Commonwealth funded aged care service and providing direct care at the commencement, duration and successful completion of your training
  • are committed to aged care
  • have commenced your training on or after 1 July 2010

Eligible courses:

Vocational Education and Training
    • Cert III Aged Care
    • Cert III Home & Community Care
    • Cert IV Aged Care
    • Cert IV Home & Community Care
    • Cert IV Leisure & Health
    • Cert IV Frontline Management
    • Dip Community Services Coordination
Enrolled Nurse Training
    • Dip Nursing (Enrolled/Div 2)
    • Cert IV Nursing (Enrolled/Div 2)
Registered Nurse Training
    • Undergraduate Bachelor of Nursing

How much will I be paid?

Vocational Education and Training

$500 after commencement and $500 on successful completion of the course

Enrolled Nurse Training

$1,000 after commencement and $1,500 on successful completion of the course and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse

Registered Nurse Training

$2,000 after commencement and $3,000 on successful completion of the course and registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
