Information about the Older People Speak Out (OPSO) National Media and People's Choice Awards.
The Awards are judged in two main categories – National Media Awards and People's Choice Media Awards.
The OPSO National Media Awards aim to encourage the media to break down negative stereotypes of older people by portraying the positive contributions made by older Australians.
The OPSO People's Choice Awards give the community the ability to nominate something they have seen or heard in the media as an excellent example of the positive portrayal of older people. Awards are given to the nominator and creator of the winning entry.
