Proposed amendments to the Aged Care Act 1997

The Department of Health and Ageing has released an Overview Paper on the Living Longer Living Better website of the proposed legislative amendments to the Aged Care Act 1997 and related legislation. These changes will lay the foundation for much of the Government's aged care reform package.

The Department of Health and Ageing has released an Overview Paper on the Living Longer Living Better website of the proposed legislative amendments to the Aged Care Act 1997 and related legislation. These changes will lay the foundation for much of the Government's aged care reform package.

Over the next four weeks the Department is seeking your comments on the proposed legislative amendments to help inform drafting of the proposed legislative amendments which are due to be introduced into Parliament in the autumn 2013 sitting period.

Comments on the proposed legislative amendments will be accepted by the Department until 21 December 2012 and should be sent to Living Longer Living Better enquiries.
