About the Division
The Ageing and Aged Care Division is responsible for the National Aged and Community Care Program. The Ageing and Aged Care Division also provides care and support for people with a disability.
The purpose of the Ageing and Aged Care Division is:
"To support healthy ageing for older Australians and quality, cost effective care for frail older people and support for their carers".
The Division is responsible for the National Ageing and Aged Care Program which provides care and support services to older people and their carers, and promotes healthy ageing. The Program also provides care and support for people with a disability.
