The Ambassador was invited to be a guest speaker at one of the Cancer Council's Biggest Morning Tea events in Grafton. The morning tea was well attended by locals and Noeline congratulated the organisers for a great event.

Water Safety Conference

On 15 May 2008, Noeline officially opened the Royal Life Saving Society's Australian Water Safety Conference in Sydney. During her speech, Noeline acknowledged the 'Grey Medallion' program, a water safety and lifesaving skills program for the Over 55s aimed to reduce the drowning rates of older Australians. The aim of the program is to teach participants a range of personal survival techniques, provide them with skills to deal with an emergency situation and to develop confidence and competence to enjoy aquatic exercise and other water-based activities safely.

Pictured with Noeline is Mr Wayne Belcher (left), CEO of the Bethanie Group Inc, and Mr Paul Papalia (right), Local Member for Peel. On 19 May 2008 the Ambassador launched the new name of the 'Christ Church Homes', now called 'The Bethanie Group Inc'.

The Bethanie Group is one of the larger aged care providers in Western Australia. It operates 21 residential aged care facilities and retirement villages, as well as Day Centres and numerous community programs.

The Centre is staffed by a team of qualified and experienced health professionals who provide clients with personalised assistance. These dedicated staff endeavour to find the best solutions for their client's needs that will maximize their quality of life.
