    On 5 December 2008 the Minister for Ageing and the Ambassador launched the 'Positive Ageing: Poster and Brochure Series' at the Tweed Regional Aquatic Centre. The posters and brochures are to help remind people that there are some simple things that they can all do to help them lead a healthier lifestyle and ensure that they age well. They focus on the following key areas:
    1. Staying physically active;
    2. Eating well;
    3. Keeping in touch with family, friends and community; and
    4. Avoiding falls at home.

    A specialised hydrotherapy pool to benefit people with disabilities, the aged and those undergoing rehabilitation was officially opened in Murwillumbah at the Tweed Regional Aquatic Centre on 5 December 2008 by the Minister for Ageing, the Honourable Justine Elliot MP.
