Keystone Community Solutions Christmas Celebration - 12 December 2012
Keystone Community Solutions began in 1978 as the St George Community Information Services. It was established by the Beverley Hills Lions Club in a caravan in Hurstville - it has certainly come along way since its humble beginnings. In 2012 St George Community Services rebranded and became 'Keystone Community Solutions Inc'. This dynamic community service provides home and community care services, Volunteer Link, Training Link, Home Modification and Maintenance Services in the St George area and other southern Sydney suburbs.
Noeline was pleased to learn that the purpose of the Christmas Celebration was to provide older people who may be socially isolated an opportunity to enjoy a special luncheon with other people.
"It think around 150 older people, including members of the Keystone Community Solutions Stroke Support Group, attended the luncheon and I'm sure everyone had a great time," Noeline said.
"Organisations such as Keystone Community Services do so much good in the community. They not only provide many valuable services for older people but they go that extra mile to make sure older people who many be socially isolated feel special at Christmas time."
Noeline wants to make sure that older Australians are not forgotten this Christmas season. "If you know of anyone who may be alone this Christmas please take the time to visit them and make sure they are okay," Noeline said. "Christmas can be a lonely time for some people so it's important to include them in your thoughts or activities."
