To promote healthy active ageing the Australian Government announced the appointment of Australia's first Ambassador for Ageing, Noeline Brown, on 12 April 2008. Noeline, an Australian icon, is thrilled to be the Ambassador and she looks forward to promoting the valuable contribution older Australians have made, and continue to make, to Australia.

Flu vaccination at the Fort Street Medical Centre

The Ambassador for Ageing, Noeline Brown, gets her flu shot from Dr Ashley Morgan at the Fort Street Medical Centre in Sydney on 23 April 2008.
Noeline is accompanied by the Minister for Ageing, Justine Elliot, and Member for Grayndler (NSW), Anthony Albanese MP.
Flu shots are provided free by the Government to all Australians aged over 65.
