The show was put on in Noeline's honour (a special performance) and during the evening Noeline was acknowledged for the valuable contribution she has made over many years to the arts and entertainment industry as well as her community and political endeavours, including her appointment as Australia's first Ambassador for Ageing.

To get the blood flowing at the Learning for Living forum in Queensland on 2 September 2008, all the attendees, including the Ambassador, tried out some relaxing moves during a yoga session. The 15 minute session was enjoyed by all.

The Ambassador attended the launch of the Aged Care Poster and Pamphlet ‘Ageing with Dignity Amongst Family, Friends and Community’, held by the Federation of Indian Associations of Victoria (FIAV). Noeline, Dr Prem Phakey and Mr Shabbir Wahid are pictured at the event presenting an award for Outstanding Service to the Indian Elderly Community.
