Guest Speaker - Cliff Noble Activity Centre 45th Anniversary– Alexandria, NSW – 1 July 2010

Noeline was pleased to take part in the 45th Anniversary celebrations for the Cliff Noble Activity Centre. The Centre provides a great venue for older Australians to come to, where they learn new things and can socialise in a friendly environment. Noeline was honoured to receive a portrait of her, painted by Mr Colin Faraday. Mr Faraday undertook a painting class at the Centre and was inspired to paint Noeline due to her charisma and because he believes she is perfect for the role of Ambassador for Ageing.

Guest Speaker – VIEW Club 50th Anniversary Branxton– Maitland, NSW– 10 July 2010

This year the VIEW Clubs are holding a program of special events around the country in celebration of the Clubs' 50th Anniversary. Noeline was very excited to be in the Hunter region to help celebrate VIEW's 50th Anniversary year.

Noeline congratulated the members for the work they do, particularly the support the Clubs offer to disadvantaged Australian children every year through the Smith Family Learning for Life Program.

Noeline spoke about the benefits and importance of the relationships people make when part of a club or organisation such as VIEW and of learning something new. VIEW members applauded and laughed as Noeline shared some real-life stories about positive and active ageing. Noeline especially loved the poem that was written and read by a VIEW member as it delivered all the messages she promotes in a fun way.
