Aged Care Workforce Fund
The Aged Care Workforce Fund provides a large flexible funding pool for initiatives aimed at improving the quality of aged care by developing the skills of the aged care workforce.
The Fund focuses on knowledge transfer, capacity building and innovation and reform. In doing so, it:
- Provides access to many training, education and other support for the aged care workforce.
- Facilitates collaborations between the aged care, acute care, training and research sectors.
- Provides targeted training and development strategies for priority groups, such as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- Responds to emerging issues and supports the introduction of innovative practices in aged care.
