Extended Medicare Safety Net
2009 Review into the Extended Medicare Safety Net
A report on the operation, effectiveness and implications of the Extended Medicare Safety Net (EMSN) was tabled in both Houses of Parliament on 12 May 2009.
The report is an independent review by the Centre for Health Economics Research and Evaluation at the University of Technology, Sydney, and examined the EMSN as required under the Health Legislation Amendment (Medicare) Act 2004.
