MBS Quality Framework – Discussion Paper

The Development of a Quality Framework for the Medicare Benefits Schedule – Discussion Paper was released on 29 April 2010.

The paper proposed new management structures for the MBS and feedback from a wide range of internal and external stakeholders was sought through bilateral meetings and submissions on the paper. Ultimately many of the proposed arrangements in the paper have been modified and form the basis for the Comprehensive Management Framework for the MBS announced in the 2011-12 Budget. As such the Discussion Paper is no longer current and has only been retained for reference purposes.
