NORTHERN TERRITORY
Darwin (Alan Walker Cancer Care Centre) $19m 235,314 NA Radiotherapy services. The Commonwealth funded the cost of construction and fit out of the radiotherapy facility and is also providing an additional $8.8 million through the Radiation Oncology Health Program Grants (ROHPG) Scheme to assist with the purchase of the treatment equipment. The NT Government also contributed $400,000 for chemotherapy infrastructure, including seven chemotherapy chairs.
QUEENSLAND
Central Integrated Regional Cancer Service $84.64m 474,280 Bundaberg, Hervey Bay, Rockhampton Rockhampton:
- Provide 14 chemotherapy chairs;
- Provide two isolation beds;
- Commission two radiotherapy bunkers; (The Commonwealth contribution does not include the purchase of linear accelerators. The radiation therapy service will not be operational before 2015);
- Construct a third radiotherapy bunker;
- Construct a twenty bed inpatient unit;
- Provide a multidisciplinary team consultation suite;
- Provide specialist cancer consultation suites (including medical specialist, allied health and nursing); and
- Provide clinical education, teaching and research facilities for cancer staff.

Bundaberg:
- 12 chemotherapy chairs;
- Two isolation beds;
- A multidisciplinary and cancer specialist consultation suite;
- Allied health facilities and offices; and
- Clinical education, teaching and research facilities.

Hervey Bay:

Toowoomba and South Western Queensland Integrated Cancer Service
Toowoomba (South West Queensland)
$9.55m 238,025 NA - Provide a 24 bed ward for multi‐day inpatient care (12 beds will support medical oncology and haematology services and 12 beds will be for the provision of palliative care);
- Build on and improve current pathways for access to multidisciplinary care and treatment decision making through existing links between private and public sector providers;
- Improve the number of low risk ambulatory patients and inpatients requiring combined chemotherapy/radiation treatment to receive services in Toowoomba; and
- Allow development medical training positions in medical oncology at Toowoomba Hospital.
Townsville & Mt Isa Integrated Regional Cancer Service

- One multi‐Disciplinary team / videoconferencing / telehealth room;

- A brachytherapy suite;
- Twenty three additional day therapy treatment places (including clinics and triage area) for chemotherapy and procedures for medical oncology and haematology services;
- Construction of physical space and infrastructure for paediatric oncology services (includes consultation and clinic rooms and three chemotherapy treatment places and support facilities for families and carers);
- Construction of physical infrastructure to house a PET service; and
- Expansion of space to increase the capacity of clinical trials at Townsville Cancer Centre.

Whyalla

- A Cancer Wellness Centre accommodating ambulatory services including six chemotherapy chairs, outpatient consulting, day therapy, counselling, patient education and resources room;
- 28 bed inpatient accommodation including space for inpatient cancer care and six palliative care beds;
- Space for research and training and education activities within the centre to support clinical trials, cancer registry and cross‐discipline teaching;
- Expansion to three operating theatres and associated recovery area (the third theatre to be utilised for endo/colono scopes and other day procedures); and
- Additional overnight staff and patient accommodation (8 units designed for multiple accommodation usage i.e. student, visiting specialist and patient family/support accommodation).

Telehealth Network, Whyalla Regional Cancer Centre
Link the Whyalla Regional Cancer Centre and other key sites in regional SA into the integrated cancer network to create real time linkages within the cancer services at Whyalla, with service providers in the Whyalla RCC catchment areas and also with metropolitan cancer service partners, through the establishment of cabling, equipment, software licensing, training, project management, and enabling network upgrades. Lyell McEwin Hospital, Elizabeth Vale Expansion of radiation oncology services at the Lyell McEwin Hospital linked to service provision for rural cancer patients with the construction of an additional radiotherapy bunker and associated services, purchase and installation of a linear accelerator, and associated infrastructure and furniture, fit out and equipment.
